Getting back Bail money

I got bail for my son who was acquitted on the charges. How long do I have to wait for the money to come back. Tony, (Dublin)

I presume this was a cash bond that you paid and not just an obligation bond that you signed.

It  shouldn’t take longer than a week or two but you should go to the Court office and ask them why the delay.

It may be that the proper Court Order releasing the bond hasn’t been made and you can ask the Court Clerk to list the case for the Judge and you can make an application yourself or you can use your son’s Solicitor to do that.
