4 missing girls

My 4 girls went missing. Do I have a right to look myself for my girls? From a concerned father.

The simple answer to this question is yes.   If your children are missing of course you have the right to look for them yourself but I suspect the situation is much more complicated because if this father’s girls simply disappeared without explanation we would have read about it in the newspapers and there would have been a massive mobilisation of resources to find them.

I suspect that this father’s wife or partner has taken the children and may even be living abroad.

If this father is married to the mother of the children, in the absence of any Court Order to the contrary, then he will enjoy joint guardianship rights.   The denial of those rights is a direct breach of the law by his wife.

If this is the case and this father has no idea where the children are he should consult the Gardai immediately.  At the same time he should consult a Family Law Solicitor and this would be particularly important if he did find out where the children were located and move to get an Order of Court to get whatever entitlement he seeks.
