Forced change of shift work

I have been working a particular shift pattern for 8 yrs. Can my employer change my shift whenever they want? They have offered a small increase in the rate but the hours will not suit me.

Your employers cannot simply change your shift on a whim “whenever they want” but the can do so whenever they need.  There has to be a reasonable requirement  such as a reorganisation within the company for sound business reasons and you cannot be unfairly selected or singled out for a change that will be to your detriment.
