Reduction of holiday entitlement

Can employer reduce holidays for employee sickness, 3 months sick so reduce holidays by 3 months worth?

Probably not, because generally speaking holidays entitlements are an absolute right, fixed by law.  Having said that, is this listener working full-time or temporary, or temporary whole-time?  If for example this employee went sick within a very short period of time of having started work then they may not be entitled to holidays but my advice is to check with your industry-specific rights at www.employmentrights.ie
